It probably hasnt helped in the slightest. I dont think youre entirely wrong there about Evan Peters looks and “cool” factor leading stupid people to glamorise Dahmer. If not how exactly do I answer that question myself? Lay it out clearly. “You answered your question about my counter to the previous commenter in your second paragraph”ĭo you mean that you agree then that just because the shoe outlines details of the case that weren’t necessarily common knowledge this doesnt preclude the show from also glamourising and over-indulging a disgusting serial killer? and getting some attitude solely for that? The original commenter needs to get a grip on life and move on. Nonetheless, I’m not in the majority of opinion here on this thread, and that's fine, but for putting the show on a list. That’s a holy McCallany and Groff lovers paradise that shows a bunch of great depictions of the ’70s and 80’s serial killers but is very different from Evan peters' adaptation of Dahmer. I can’t entirely agree with your comparison to mind hunter, as that’s from a completely different perspective and not a show about one killer or a show about one guy who plays the killer. But again, it’s evident many people want to see no part in learning more about these killers regardless of the method (show, movie, book, etc.) You answered your question about my counter to the previous commenter in your second paragraph. The creators didn't make a show glamorizing any part of what Dahmer did, again, in my perspective. I think people glamorize it solely because of Evan Peters being a good-looking guy and then social media abusing clips like any other show.
